
Nowadays with Partnership Marketing getting the talk everywhere, cooperation between UK design firm Artomatic and Royal Mail seems to be an interesting example of focused targeting. They have come together to make people want to receive direct mail. At a time when the DM industry is going through strife having seen the biggest fall in spending in the first quarter of 2008, Artomatic shows us that people like to receive stuff and showed us their belief through the wonderfully designed Matter Boxes (picture to the left, top). The best part about it is that they are sending these boxes to everyone who’s signing up (not authorized to UK). So if you would like to receive one you can go here and sign up for one.
How does it work? The box contains stuff that interests you, or as they claim it’s a ‘box full of interesting stuff’, something that ‘brings companies and people together around real, physical stuff–things you can hold in your hands, keep in your drawer, or give to your friends.’ Check out more here.
